Privacy policy
ScoreLine is built so that roping information stays with the people running the roping. This policy covers the scorelinetimer.com website, the ScoreLine software, and roping text messages sent through ScoreLine.
The ScoreLine software
The ropings, ropers, phone numbers, times, payments and results a producer enters are saved on the producer's own computer, in Documents\ScoreLine. Scoreline Industries does not receive or store that information.
The software connects to the internet for these things only:
- Updates: it asks our download site whether a newer version is available. Nothing about you or your ropings is sent.
- License check: when licensing is turned on, it confirms your license key with our payment provider.
- Text messages: if the producer turns texting on, it sends each text through the producer's text-message provider (Twilio).
- Live results: if the producer turns Live on for a roping, it sends that roping's results to live.scorelinetimer.com (see Live results below).
Text messages
When you check the text-message box on a roping entry form, the producer uses your mobile number only to text you about the ropings you entered: your draw and your run times.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties. Information is shared only with the text-message provider that delivers the messages.
Reply STOP to any message to stop texts. Details are on the text messages page.
Live results
A producer can choose to show a roping live in the ScoreLine Live app. Then the roping's name, date and place, the contestants' names, the draw, times, places, payouts and season points are public, the way posted results are at the arena. Phone numbers, payments, ratings and contact details are never sent. The results stay up for 30 days after the roping.
If you follow a roper in the app, your phone's notification address is kept with that roping only to send those notifications, and is deleted with the roping.
This website
The website has no accounts, no tracking and no advertising cookies. Like any website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) handles requests and may keep standard logs, such as IP addresses, to run and protect the site. Fonts load from Google Fonts.
If you email us, we use your email only to answer you.
Purchases
When online checkout opens, payments will be handled by our payment provider. We receive your name, email and what you bought, which we use to deliver your license and support it. We never see or store your card number.
Your choices
- Stop text messages any time by replying STOP.
- Ask the producer of your roping to remove your number from their ScoreLine roper list.
- Email us to ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted.
Children
Youth ropers' entries, including any phone number for texts, should be given by a parent or guardian.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
